In addition to the widely represented professional community (Russian and foreign), the Week is considered as the most important event in the cultural life of the capital - held under the patronage of the Mayor of Moscow. A week will certainly become a significant informational occasion, the public interest in which is constantly growing. It will bring together visitors who are not indifferent to the world of beauty, many of whom are already collectors of objects of art, someone will decide to purchase for the first time. A visit to the Art Week may become a good tradition for many Muscovites and guests of the capital. The presence in one place of so many people who are passionate and interested in creativity will create a positive and emotional space for communication.


FORM OF PARTICIPATION There are three forms of participation:
 
  1. PERSONAL (you visit Moscow and bring artwork by yourself);
  2. ARTWORK (you ship artwork, we exhibit)
  3. ART PRINT (you send file, we print it and exhibit as a photocopy)
 
 
PROSPECTS
The authors present their works at one of the most popular exhibition venues in Moscow - at the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center. The modern pavilion of more than 4000 square meters is located in the Sokolniki Park. Artists, collectors, curators, museum staff, art critics, consultants, designers, architects, historians, businessmen, diplomats, politicians, gallery owners, art dealers are invited to the exhibition.
 
GEOGRAPHY
In the Russian Art Week traditionally attended by over 1,000 authors from over 200 cities of Russia and foreign countries. Art week (ArtWeek), art exhibition and the international art-project, carried out in 22 countries. The full list is in section "Geography of art weeks".

Each of these competitive programs is conducted as an independent project, in which the winners are determined, with its own jury.

II. EXHIBITION AND FAIR PROGRAM

The exhibition invites a wide audience of visitors with a genuine passion for art, from serious collectors to those who buy their first original work. Comfortable conditions for viewing art objects, their evaluation and conclusion of contracts with the authors are created for visitors. The uniqueness and exclusivity of the exhibition works will be a discovery for a wide audience of art lovers and connoisseurs.

III. International Forum of Curators
The event with the participation of leading institutional and independent curators, gallery owners, art managers will trigger the strengthening and development of cultural ties between Russian artists and cultural specialists with colleagues from other countries and regions. The events of the Forum of Curators for different audience: the Symposium is for professionals portfolio review with international curators, for artists, Open studios for everyone.

The mission of the Curatorial forum is to create a platform for discussions, networking and initiating new projects, including international ones. The forum will help to unite professionals and lovers of contemporary art, to make more visible and accessible artists ' workshops, independent art spaces and galleries. The project is aimed at supporting local initiatives in the field of contemporary art, expanding the audience and involving it in current cultural processes. 

IV. INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

The purpose of the conference is to identify and analyze cultural, artistic and aesthetic, organizational and practical problems of functioning of the sphere of contemporary art and the art market in the context of globalization and dialogue of cultures.

V. MASTER-CLASSES, WORKSHOPS, LECTURES AND CREATIVE MEETINGS
Master classes are held in all sections of the Russian Art Week - painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and decorative arts. Russian Art Week International traditionally includes educational programs - workshops, lectures and creative meetings, where famous artists and craftmen share their experience and knowledge. Famous painters, sculptors, photographers from Russia, Europe and Asian countries perfom for participants and visitors of the RAW. Every November during the RAW becomes the most important destination for artists, galleries, collectors, critics and curators from all over the world.

Forms of Participation

There are three forms of participation:
1) Personal partiсipation: you visit Moscow and bring artwork in person.
2) Artwork partiсipation: you ship artwork, we exhibit
3) Art print participation: you send file, we print and exhibit

The forms of participation have equal rights. All works are exhibited in the famous expo complex - Amber Plaza Congress Hall (36 Krasnoproletarskaya str., Moscow) and judged by the jury.

How to participate:

There are available two methods of registration on the International Exhibition & Competition "Russian Art Week:

II. Second option - to fill out the Application Form on the website - "Application Form"

After the author has sent registration data to the Organizing Committee, he receives a notification letter with his assigned "Participant's number" from the administrator.

The number of art objects
Author (or a group of co-authors) can participate with any amount of work. In addition, each artwork will be assessed as an independent item.

Can I Ship My Work and Not Attend?

Yes, you can ship and not attend. There are various options for hiring a technician on the application form too, but you can get a friend to hang for you to save money.

This is the general process:

You would ship your work to our storage to arrive at the set date. If you have used an agent, because you are shipping from outside of the Russian Federation, you would ship it to them and they would forward the delivery onto to our storage after checking through Russian customs
Our technicians would transport it within Moscow to the venue, check it and hang it according to your hanging plan.
Promo staff would process any sales on your behalf. It would be transferred to you.
After the show any work not sold, the technicians would repack and transport back to our storage space.
You would receive an email from our shipping department that there is work to pick up.
You would arrange your shipper to pick up again (or, depending on your shipper, we could do the paperwork this side for free).

Shipping of Accepted Entries

Artists must provide for incoming shipping and insurance to the Moscow House of Artists. Artists who reside outside of the Russia, as well as artists whose packaged work exceeds standard FedEx or UPS length and girth measurements, requiring the use of freight shipping, will be responsible for BOTH incoming AND return shipping costs and scheduling arrangements, as well as providing transit insurance if so desired. A prepaid return shipping label must be provided by the artist in the above instances, along with any return shipping commercial invoices and customs documents needed. In addition to being responsible for incoming and return shipping and transit insurance, artists who reside outside the Russia will also be responsible for any expenses related to customs clearance, including duties and taxes and/or the hiring of a customs broker if necessary. In most cases, except those as outlined above, the Organizer will provide insured, return shipping via common carrier (UPS or Fed Ex will be used in most instances). Artists who wish to have their works returned through a fine arts shipping company or artists whose works need to ship via a freight company, will have to do so at their own expense (both incoming and return). Works will be returned packed in the same materials and manner in which they were received, therefore crates, boxes and other shipping containers must be strong enough for the return trip. Artists who choose to hand-deliver their work to the Moscow House of Artists must also pick up their work. The Moscow House of Artists will not reimburse travel. Delivery and pick up hours are Monday-Friday, 8-4. We are NOT able to accommodate weekend deliveries.

WHO CAN TAKE PART?
Competition program of the Russian Art Week is open to any artist, over the age of 18 years, from any country. The competition includes three professional categories of participants: "Professionals," "Amateurs" and "Students" (for details, see "Entry Category"). Each of these categories is competing in its own category. Art objects can be declared for the contest from one artist and from a group of collaborators, which does not affect the jury's decision and the general rules of the contest. There can be one art object in multiple categories. In this case it is necessary to make duplicates of files for each category and pay the participation fee in accordance with the rates for the participation of every art object.

Participation forms:
1) Participation in the competitive & exhibition program: online (in absentia) and in person (internal way)
2) Participation in Art Fairs program: full-time participation
3) Participation in master classes: a) as a listener, and b) as a lecturer

International Art Fair & Competition of Modern & Contemporary Arts "RUSSIAN ART WEEK International" will be held one of the most popular venues in Moscow - in the Congress and Exhibition Center "AMBER-PLAZA" (Moscow, Krasnoproletarskaya st., 36)

ADVISORY COUNCIL (JURY)
Expert Council (jury) evaluates the entries in each of the contests. The Expert Council is composed of the following professional groups:
a) famous artists from Russia, Europe, Asia and America;
b) representatives of the specialized media;
c) representatives producing companies;

SPECIFICATIONS
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (for full-time and part-time participants):
For registration in the competition program authors send to the organizing committee (e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) required materials (list of registration materials, refer to "How to participate"). Digital materials should be at least 200 dpi, no less than 600 pixels on the smaller side and saved as images in formats or .JPEG. JPG, mode RGB, file size: from 1 to 20 MB. Labels for each file should be sent as a separate file in the format of Word.

Special REQUIREMENTS (for full-time participants):
After registering through the Internet full-time participants bring their artworks onNovember 6, 2023, from 1.00 to 16.00.
Head of the need to be prepared for display at the Vertical Stand & Wall:
a) have hooks, loops or eyelets for hanging
b) have a firm basis (mat, frame, sub-frame, etc.)
c) have a label (in the lower right corner on the front side)
g) together with the exhibition provided an art object applicant rents "Card-transfer act", which will be the basis for the subsequent issuance of entries at the end of the exhibition.
After the show full-time art objects are returned, the issuance is strictly April 24, 2023, from 17.00 to 20.00. The Organizing Committee can arrange to send full-time work by mail, special request and payment of transport costs.
There are could be any size of full-time work, but in the case of the provision of an exhibition of art-object (except the competition sculptures) not more than 100 cm. by longer side (including frame), the applicant shall pay an additional fee at the rate of: the amount of 101 to 150 cm - an additional 50% of the entry fee at a rate of 151 cm to 200 cm. - an additional 100%, etc.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (for part-time members):
After registering through the Internet organizing committee prints competition files and locates photocopies of the art objects for the exposition. The size of the printed images - A3 (297x420 mm). One file should contain one object. At the end of the exhibition organizing committee sends diplomas or the winner by mail.

RULES OF PARTICIPATION IN THE CATEGORY "Book illustration":
The authors that present their work in the category "Book Illustrations" must adhere to the following principles:
a) Entries in this category must be submitted in the form of series (in one file - a series of still images);
b) In addition to the online registration allowed a hard copy of the book

 

ARRANGEMENTS FOR REGISTRATION MATERIALS

If the author is involved in more than one category / categories or multiple competitive works, the payment voucher can be one, on the applicant (or one of a group of co-authors). Required: number of photos (files) must match the number of participating entries. In the case of the participation of one images in multiple categories is necessary to make duplicates for each category.
The competition is only fully formed application, including the above-mentioned five registration points. The organizing committee reserves the right to refuse participation in the competition, if an art object violates social norms or denigrates someone's dignity.

Returning the original disks or photos
All applications must include the appropriate organizational contributions. If a participant sends a request to return the original disks or photos by mail, you must pay: organizational expenses (650 rubles) and transportation costs (upon receipt, the materials will be shipped by cash on delivery).

ENDORSEMENTS
After all participants receive diplomas, certificates party (the number corresponds to the number of diplomas participated in the competition of art objects), and winners - printed diplomas of the winner. It is possible to send certificates in electronic form (on a separate application to the Organizing Committee). The cost of the registration fee includes shipping diplomas mail for correspondence participants.

COPYRIGHT SIGNS AND SIGNATURES
Allowed signature, stamp or any other identification of authorship anywhere images. Subsequently, competitive images published with the author's distinctive marks.

PACKAGING AND RETURN COMPETITION WORKS
If the author sends the disk or the original poster, it is necessary to work carefully packed to prevent any damage during transport. The Organizing Committee must receive mail until April 23, 2023.
By special request competing art objects (CDs, posters and original art objects) can be returned at the end of the exhibition. In this case it is necessary to make a special request and pay 650 rubles (or 10 euros) handling fee and shipping costs for the Postal Service. The Organizing Committee is not responsible for any damage or loss of entries during transportation, as this will be the responsibility of the postal service on a general basis.

USE OF IMAGES AND COMPETITION WORKS AFTER THE AUTHOR
Copyright and all other rights remain with the artist. In the case where the competition provided art objects representative of the author, responsibility for authorship lies with the applicant. The Organizing Committee has the right to use the name (pseudonym) and images participating in the competition and exhibition of art objects for the purpose of advertising and promotion of the International project "Art Week" and the Russian Art Week, and non-commercial use as an illustration and media. All participants understand that any image submitted to the competition may be used by the International project "Art Week" and the Russian Art Week for marketing and promotional purposes, including for-profit publishing in any media, such as exhibitions, print and digital media . By participating in the contest, the author (s) consents to the inclusion in the catalog "New Faces of Arts" photos of the author and art objects.
The Organizing Committee of the Russian Art Week is not responsible for art objects and images rendered in violation of the competition rules, or for those who violate the copyright, as in this case, the responsibility of the person filing the application for participation in the competition program of the Russian Art Week (applicant).

How to provide the entry materials?

Author (or a group of co-authors) can participate with any amount of work. In addition, each work will be assessed as an independent work.

 
Comments to the participation forms:

a) In person participation: participant presents works in form of original photographs of art objects (or copies) prepared to be exhibited (see Word).
b) In absent participation: the contestant provides photographs in electronic form only. Organizing committee prints, designs and places in the overall exposure, open wide audience of visitors.
c) Participation as a lecturer: any specialist has the opportunity to conduct workshops, lectures, meetings, presentation of their work. To do this, you must submit a request to the Organizing Committee to participate as a lecturer. After review and approval of the application by the Organizing Committee approximately 1 to 3 lecture hours will be available to the lecturer.
g) Participation in the workshop: for the the Russian Art Week participants the program of all the workshops is free. The visitors have the opportunity to visit only one individual workshop or lecture, pre-registering on our website, under "Accreditation students master classes."
